(I don't know if you know. But Zanashi won't be able to get on the computer untill. The first of May.)
Looking up at the other trail I start to think. It might be more dangerous to go up that path but it might be more rewarding. I knew that when I started this journey it was not going to be easy. But I have to think on the saftey of my pokemon to. If I do go up this path my pokemon will all have to be in there pokeballs, unless I have to battle, or I find something intresting. So up this path it is. "Totadile I'm going to need you to return. If it starts to look like I'm in danger I'll call you out." After returning Totadile I started to climb the new road, leaving the main one.

As you cautiously ascend the new path, you notice that more and more rocks have fallen, dotting the already sandy surface. You try to avoid tripping, as the sandstorm is growing worse and making it harder to see. Suddenly, your foot connects with an unseen rock and you go sprawling. As you scramble back to your feet, you see the rock jump back on short, stocky arms! Its a Geodude, at lvl 5, and it looks like it's not happy that you disturbed it's nap!

"Umm Geodude I know I woke you up, but do you think you might let me pass. This is not a very good place to battle. So will you please forgive me? Totadile come on out. If he insists on fighting I want you to use a Water Gun, lets get him wet."

You pull out a small red and white ball from your belt. in a flash of red light your todidle appears ready for anything. The geodude stares into your pokemon's eyes as he listens to you speak. All of a sudden he lets out a war cry as he rushs toward you attempting to tackle your pokemon. Todildle jumps out of the way and just like you said, he shoots out a jet of water at the geodude but by the time the beam hits him he is curled up in a ball. He is useing defence curl! Its still super affective! 11/22

"Good job Totadile. Be careful as this place is not the best place for either of you to fight. Since its wants a fight, we will give it a fight. Its on defense right now but since we have super effective moves, lets continue on an offensive. Wait till it gets close up and then shoot another Water Gun right into its face."

The Geodude, now drenched with water, uncurls itself and glares at you. even though its in pain from the super effective water attack, it seem tougher than before. Letting out a low growl that escalates into loud noise like rocks scraping together, it rushes forward on it's arms, curls up, and rolls up the side of a small rock, launching itself at your Totodile! While in midair, it snaps it arms open, ready to Tackle again...
Geodude: 11/22, +1 Def.

"Totadile try to slide under the Geodude, while you do that shoot another Water Gun to send him up. If you see you do not have enough time to do this just use another Water Gun from where you are. Push his back."

Your Totodile rushes forward and slides feet first underneath the airborn Geodude. As per your instructions, he lets loose a blast of water from his maw. The attack catches the Geodude just as it looks down, a suprised look on it's face. The small rock pokemon is battered higher into the air by the stream of water, and lands a few feet away with a thunk.
Even with it's boosted defense, the super effective hit combined with the fall knocks the Geodude out cold. Your Totodile earns a level up!

"Good job Totadile. I need you to return once more, like I said this place is to dangerous for you to stay out." After returning my pokemon I continued walking on the path.

You walk down the path a ways more, when the sand begins to thin slightly. You walk out into what looks like a small pit with slopping sides. there is another path on the other side that continues on, but a lumpy shape blocks the way. as you move closer, the shape takes a step toward you. as it emerges out of the sandstorm, you see that it is a Rhyhorn. it's face and sides are covered in scratches and gouges from the constant battering of the sandstorm. Your pokedex reports it at level 4. It doesn't look angry, but eyes you cautiously as it plants it feet in a defensive stance. it seems like it guards this passageway. What will you do?

"Rhyhorn and evolutions are pretty cool, so I think I might just catch this one. Lets see if I can reason with him though. Aron come on out. Hey buddy I know this is the first time you come out as my pokemon but I need you to me a favor. If its alright with you I want you to go over there and talk to the Rhyhorn. Tell him I'm a fan of his speices(which is the truth), and I would be really happy if he wanted to join us." As Aron went to do what I asked, I sent out Totadile. "Hey buddy if that Rhyhorn over there tries to attack Aron I want you to defend him. Use a Water Gun on him, but only if he attacks first."

As Aron trundles up to the weathered Rhyhorn, he greets the spike pokemon in his small grunting voice. The Rhyhorn relaxes from his tense stance and begins a conversation with your pokemon in its low gravely voice. The two talk for a moment, and the Rhyhorn seems to brighten up. He and your Aron touch their head armor together, and it resumes its previous position. Your Aron runs back to you and nods it's armored head. It then pantomimes attacking something and looks back at the Rhyhorn.
It looks as though the Rhyhorn will join your party, but only if you show it that you are strong and talented. Will you accept it's challenge?

I looked with a worried expresion knowing there was always a chance of making this Rhyhorn faint. Oh well I guess I would have to take that chance. "Totadile step foward. I want you to use a Water Gun. But don't use it with all your force. Just use enough to make some serious damage, but not enough to faint."

(oops! i should have specified that you just show it you can fight creatively, but I don't think you're in any trouble ) Your Totodile braces itself for the Water gun attack, and lets loose a controlled burst. The Rhyhorn, however, begins to stamp it feet into the ground with great intensity, letting out a below as it does. The recurring shock waves spread outward, causing Totodile to stumble to it's knees and the jet of water to waver. While the Rhyhorn's attack is weak and does little damage, it does cause the water to only land for a few seconds before the blast goes wide. The study spike pokemon winces at the brief contact, dropping to it's knees... Totodile: 18/32 Rhyhorn: 4/16 -MatrixMan95

"Totadile this turn lets go with something that should no almost no damage at all. Use Scratch, we only need to weaken him a little bit more. If he uses again Earthquake again, try to jump ontop of him to dodge the waves."
