YUS!!!
Ok, now that you've defeated the guards, you have your pick of tunnels. there are seven, two of them are dead ends, homes for more Nincada and Ninjask, and three more are filled with roots, but passable. the last two are clear, one goes up slightly and one goes deeper into the sandy soil.
which will you choose?

you walk down the tunnel for a ways when suddenly the air around you begins to heat up. a cherry red patch grows on the floor of the cave, and the sand on the tunnel glazes over and cracks. the floor turns to a puddle of bubbling magma, which gives way to the shape of a head. it seems as though a Slugma has melted it's was up through the rock, and is now sitting in front of you. it looks at you with burning eyes, impassive. it is lvl 22.
will you turn back, fight, try to comunicate?

your Cyndaquil approaches the strange magma pokemon and squeaks out your question in it's language. The Slugma looks down, and a low bubbling gurgle eminates from it's molten throat
"Sluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..."
it raises it's bubbling body out of the floor and moves down the tunnel toward you. Cyndaquil bounds back, and motions to you, sqeaking with joy. it seems as though the Slugma has granted you request, but it leading you back into one of the other tunnels. you follow it back out into the other cavern, and the Slugma moves down one of the tunnels that is choked with roots. it's body burns them away, leaving a path clear for you and your pokemon.
your guide stops in front of a cave in. the tunnel is still sound, but it appears as though there is a large rock blocking the way into another cavern. a strong pokemon may be able to move it, or maybe some other methoud will destroy the boulder...
what will you do?

The assault of Snorlax's mega punch shatters the boulder, the fragments and smaller pieces blasting out into the cavern ahead. you enter through into a small cavern, which stretches off in a curve. the walls are poc-marked with Ninjask nests, but it appears that the old cave in cut this area off from the rest of the hive. it looks as though you have some more exploring to do.
As the Slugma follows you and your pokemon into the new area, Cyndaquil chats with it casually. the Slugma stops, and looks at your small firey pokemon with appraising eyes. it then eyes you and your snorlax. it snaps it's head up and nods. it then flares and a hard coating of magma hardens over it's burning body. it looks as though it wants to see if you are worthy of it, and wants to test you in a small sparing match.
*you must demonstrate a creative manner to battle the Slugma. Ingenious tactics are a must*

Does it have to be a one-one?

No, you can use your whole team, but only one at a time. don't forget you can use the environment as a weapon as well. choose your starter...

Chansey throws the Explosive Present, which lands next to the Slugma. the Slugma, not being the fastest of pokemon tries to move away, while at the same time emiting a powerful Smog attack. Chansey executes the Protect perfectly, and evades the poisonous effects of the Smog, and if zapped back to it's pokeball. The Smog spreads out...
Manyula is up next, and fires his Ice Beam at the Slugma. he draws a circle around the flaming pokemon with the beam, and builds a dome around it and the bomb. however, he is caught in the expanding Smog attack, and is poisoned slightly.
Manyula prepares the Shadow Ball, but as he does, one side of the dome begins to melt. he lets the ball of energy go, and at the same time, a hole appears in the side of the dome and a rock comes hurtling out at him, a Rock Throw attack.
the attacks pass each other in the air, and strike their targets. The shadow ball crashes through the Ice dome, and hits the bomb, detonating it. The Slugma is blasted off it's, uh, "feet" and thrown several feet across the cavern. Manyula it hit dead on by the Rock Throw attack, and is knocked back.

Manyula use ice beam and use some nevermeltice on your claws and use slash on slugma. Return
Chney use explosive present on slug, making irue it hits directly on top of it so i does'nt move from it's water-sealed spot. Then make a healing present on the gournd near you. Return
Snorlax put your hand in the healing present and use mega punch on slugma with that hand

Piplup fires several large, thick bubbles at the Slugma, which float around it, trapping the firey pokemon in a rough ring. The Slugma uses Harden, waiting for the next attack to come...
Manyula dashes toward the Slugma, firing an Ice beam as he does. The Slugma, opens it's maw, and a blast of blistering heat pours forth along with jets of flame, an Ember attack. The two attacks collide, and cancel each other out, seeing as how both pokemon are close in strength. Manyula is not phased, and rushes in, fliping over the bubble ring. He aims a ice-powered Slash at the Slugma as He lands, scoring a hit on the creatures head. The ice on his clwas bubbles and hisses as it turns to steam.
Manyula jumps back, but staggers as the poison form the earlier Smog attack inflicts more damage.
Chansey throws the explosive present toward the Slugma, but the other Pokemon flings up a small rock with Rock Throw, knocking it off course. the Explosive Present hits one of the bubbles, and explodes. The Slugma is knocked aside, but begins to move forward, and lets out another Smog attack. Chansey places the Healing Present and returns before the toxic cloud can reach her.
Snorlax appears, and reaches down, grabbing the healing present and swinging a Mega Punch at the advancing Slugma. The pokemon lets loose another Ember attack, which sets off the Healing Present in Snorlax's hand. The huge pokemon flinches by the unexpected move, and the punch goes awry. Slugma opens it's maw wide and Yawns loudly, the sound like settling rocks deep underground. Snorlax, already a sleepy pokemon by nature, falls over backwards, fast asleep...

Chansey use Healing present on Manyula to get rid of the POison.
Snorlax use amnesia and defense curl to brace yourself whne you use LICK on Slugma.
