You start to climb down the shaft, going deeper into the spire. soon, the walls become tighter and you find it harder to move. with some effort, you manage to force yourself down further, but suddenly, you are falling!
you land in water, cold and dark. when you break the surface, you see that thousands of glowing crystals on the walls illuminate the space you are now in. it is a cavern, not very high ( any higher and you would have broken your neck ). as you pull yourself out of the water, movement catches your eye.
a small shape scuttles out from behind a rock, and the light from a nearby crystal reveals it to be a lvl 17 Skorupi, but something is different about it... it's carapace is bright red! it raises it's claws and hisses, ready to fight!

(oh, you'll get your chance ) The ice beam blasts into the Skorpi, knocking it over and into a wall. the blast itself wasn't strong enouhg to KO it, but the impact against the wall leaves the bug pokemon unconsious. Lvl up for Manyula! Across the cavern, you see three tunnels, all branching off into darkness. two are silent, but a weak breeze flows from the center one. which will you take, left, center, or right? -MatrixMan95

you walk down the tunnel with Manyula by your side for some time. the walls twist and turn many times, and only a few of the glowing crystals line the walls.
up ahead, you see a lone Nincada, lvl 10, clinging to the wall. it sees you, unfortunatly, and scuttles off down the passage. you can hear a soft dry sound, like hundreds of dead leaves blowing across pavement coming from down the passage...
you exit from the tunnel to see a several other tunnels. dozens of small shapes crawl along the walls, but most flee into the other tunnels. two shapes break off and confront you, a lvl 11 Nincada and a lvl 14 Nincada. they confront you and Manyula, ready to attack these intruders in their secret home.
up for a double battle?

Cyndaquil's Flamethrower attack streams out and licks the lvl 14 Nincada, inflicting modest damage as well as a Burn.
Piplup blasts bubbles at the weaker Nincada, pumeling it with full force. the attack is super effective!
The Nincadas retaliate, the lvl 11 one throwing sand from the tunnel floor at Cyndaquil's face in a Sand Attack, reducing it's accuracy, while the lvl 14 one begins a Fury Attack, hitting Piplup 3 times!
Nincada 11: 12/24 Nincada 14: 45/56, Burn Cyndaquil: 28/28, - Accuracy Piplup: 25/40

The lvl 11 Nincada goes down under the bubble assault, but the lvl 14 Nincada manages to dodge half of the full blast Flamethrower, taking moderate damage, but is hurt by the burn from the last attack. it clings to the wall, then jumps out with a Scratch attack at Cyndaquil, scoring a hit
Nincada: 25/56, Burn Cyndaquil: 18/28, - Accuracy Piplup: 25/40
