Name: Chronowl
Species: Temporal Pokemon
Type: Psychic/Flying
Abilities: Filter/Compoundeyes
Evolves from Noctowl when leveled up at night while holding a Metronome item.
Length: 7'4"
Weight: Unknown
Learns all the same moves as Noctowl at the same levels. The following moves are different:
Psychic instead of Extrasensory (at lv. 42)
Future Sight instead of Zen Headbutt (at lv. 37)
Nasty Plot instead of Take Down (at lv. 27)
Aura Sphere instead of Dream Eater (at lv. 57)
Also learns Trick Room from lv. 0.
Chronowl is an enigmatic pokemon, almost legendary in its rarity. Spoken of in legend as a diciple of Dialga, master of Time, Chronowl has advanced beyond its pre-evolutions and mastered its psychic powers. This pokemon keeps a precise measurement of time and never loses count, even in the heat of combat. Its mental capacity rivals that of Metagross and Alakazam, as a result of its dedication to seeking knowledge. Chronowl are known to, on very rare occasions, enter human libraries at night in search of new information on any and all subjects. It is capable of understanding most written human languages and absorbs all information it lays its powerful eyes upon. If a Chronowl is adequately entertained during such a nocturnal visit that it will leave a single silver feather behind as a token of appreciation to the book-keepers. Because this pokemon is so rare, it is said that knowledge centers visited by this pokemon are to be blessed with good luck for the next thousand years. It is for this reason that Owl pokemon are representative of scholars and knowledge-seekers everywhere. Chronowl have extrordinarily long life spans, and are rumored to live for a thousand years and possibly longer.
As a result of its mastery of extrasensory psychic abilities, Chronowl adapted its powers into a unique skill mirroring that of Dialga. By focusing its abilities, Chronowl can cause brief skips forward and backward in time itself to avoid confrontation with other beings. These small skips, no more than 10 seconds at a time, allow Chronowl to escape from pursuit without engaging a foe.
A Chronowl is completely silent in flight, and even when landing or taking it off it makes no sound. At night when this pokemon is most frequently said to appear, it is nothing short of invisible against the night sky despite its large size and wide wingspan.
