Well, when I gave up on Adventure of Hoenn, I was wondering what it would be like if someone started out in Sinnoh, but it is nothing like the game. You don't start in Twinleaf Town, you don't get your Starter from Professor Rowan, and the GYMs are out of order from the game.
So anyways, this Fanfic is about a Trainer who lives in Eterna City. His name is Tyson. His Aunt is Gardenia and his mother has no relation to pokemon at all. But Gardenia allows him to become a pokemon trainer and gives him his starter.
Anyways, here is the Prologue:
It was the middle of the night, and Tyson was wide awake on his bed. He turned over on his right side to see a red light: His clock. The time said 2:45 a.m. Tyson could not sleep because tomorrow was when his Aunt gave him his first pokemon. He had no idea what pokemon he was getting, so he was so excited that he couldn't sleep.
I wonder what pokemon my Aunt will be giving me? Tyson thought as he lay in his bed. He tossed and turned in his soft bed which he couldn't get comfortable in. His thoughts swarmed as he wondered what pokemon he was getting.
Was it a Treecko? A Pikachu? A Turtwig? A Cherubi? A Zigzagoon?
He kept himself up almost all night. When he turned to face the clock again, it was 4:05 a.m. Tyson finally lost enough energy to drift slowly asleep. He was too deep in sleep to notice the shadowy figure at his window. It watched him and then hit the wall before jumping away...
Tyson suddenly awoke randomly. He had been dreaming of his pokemon journey when he just woke up. He rubbed his eyes and sat up in his bed. He turned to the right to see his clock. All of a sudden, he gasped and jumped right out of bed. The clock said 9:14 a.m. He promised his Aunt that he would meet her at 9:20 this morning! Tyson stripped himself and quickly put on a clean pair of underwear, green shorts, a red shirt, and his green jacket. He sprinted straight to the bathroom to get ready. He combed his blonde, puffy hair to its original hairstyle and quickly brushed his teeth. After emerging from the bathroom, he jumped down the stairs and grabbed an apple, and was about to head out the door when a voice said, "Where do you think you're going, young man?"
Tyson suddenly stopped. That voice was always familiar because it was his mother's voice. He never told his mother that he was leaving home to go on his pokemon journey. Tyson started to sweat a little as he thought of a lie to tell his mom. He sighed and turned about face to see his mother with her arms folded across her chest. He noticed an envelope in her left hand. He started to tell her the truth when she walked up to him and gave him a big hug.
"Honey, you know you can't hide anything from me. Aunt Gardenia already told me about your journey and that she was giving you a pokemon." She said. Tyson relaxed. Whew, that was close. I almost thought that she wasn't going to let me go on my journey. Tyson thought. His mom let go of him and stuck out her left hand. Tyson looked at the white, folded envelope. He said, "What, mom? Do you want me to have it?" She nodded, and he took it from her.
"Now don't open it until you leave the house. I don't want anyone knowing anything about it." She said. Tyson nodded and waved his right hand good-bye. He opened the screen door and ran outside.
When he made sure no one was looking, he took the envelope out of his pocket. Taking his finger, he lifted the seal of the envelope and opened it slowly. In there were green pieces of paper, or in other words, money. He pulled it all out and counted it.
"HOLY CRAP!" Tyson yelled as he counted the money. He covered his mouth from screaming so loud. The money all together had totaled to $10,000! Tyson thought of running back and hugging his mom. But he was already late. He began running to the Eterna City GYM...
