This is simple: Someone posts their ideas for a novel, and other people give their opinion about the idea. Make sure to give lots of information about the fic you're planning. Be sure to read the rules first!

I've been working on a project for some months now. I don't know what medium I'm gonna use yet, but It's either going to be a sprite comic, a drawn comic (I'd love to do this, but it's unlikely, unless I can find a decent artist), or just a typed fic. It revolves around 17 students who are recruited from around the three regions (Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn), from all different towns and backgrounds. Each uses a certain type, and has a starter. I have a rough idea of each character's, well, character, but I've only written about half of them, and only typed two up in detail. Some of them already have sprites, as evidenced in my sprite thread. I do have the names, genders, types, and starters for all of them. Anyway, these 17 seemingly unrelated students are invited to recieve training and schooling at a newly-established acadamy in the middle of the desert. They live, have school, and have their lives inside this complex. The story will start off with how each character recieved their invite, and a brief look at their life before arriving at the Acadamy. I'm writing up detailed bios of everybody, including vital stats, favorites, likes and dislikes, ideals, and tendencies. I'm trying to shoot for an abundance of detail, especially when it comes to developing characters. The story after the intro will have them essentially progressing through the school term, in academic classes as well as battle training, from different teachers, under the watchful eye of an ever-shrouded leader, based off of me. You can think of the story as almost comparable to Harry Potter, with the live-in school, the complex detail, and the conflicts that these 17 strangers will have together. There will be friendships, rivalries, and yes, relationships. The working title: Class of '06. The problem being, with school and my considerable restrictions on writing a story on this subject matter, it has turned into a lot of work. I would therefore like to ask you, the reader, your humble opinion. What do you think? -sandragon13

I like it. As long as you give plenty of detail, such as what their homework is about, this could turn out nicely. Be sure to give the pokemon personalities if they say more than their names, and this could turn out longer than you might expect. Good luck!

Yeah, they do have personalities. Many of them mirror their trainers in regards to general nature, but trainer and pokemon do think independently of one another. Each of the characters, humans and pokemon alike, will have strengths and weaknesses, which I will incorperate into the story. Also, I'm on the lookout for anybody who may be interested in character design and/or drawing frames of the story. No real artistic talent is needed, I'm looking for Whisper Thy Name-like drawing quality, nothing too complex, the story will cover that. If interested PM me. -sandragon13

Sandragon, your idea PWNs. As long as you give description and such ;D And my idea... I was thinking today as I was reading ASOUE (A Series of Unfortunate Events) the 6th (The Ersatz Elevator, my personal favorite XD) about writing something similar to it...like, ASOUE with a pokemon twist, somehow. And I know like none of you have ever read ASOUE, so you would get what its like ;D Anyways; I do not think I'll make the characters pokemon, after all what sort of pokemon do you think Count Olaf would be? I suppose...well...I could make it like MD, but... It would seem a little weird XD I could make them like the pokemon trainers, maybe...like Violet was...Misty or something :S The them being pokemon idea was much better I think... Count Olaf could be something like, Gengar or whatever... I don't know, it will take a while to figure them out I was planning on writing them based on each chapter; just based, not exactly like, I'm not gonna plagarize. (sp?) Currently I'm planning on doing the first book for now...if I do it... Meh, well thats my idea...I guess I didn't give much info XD But I just started thinking it up today, so Actually, I'll just give some more info now. There are these three kids; Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire. They are at the beach one day, when a friend of their parents comes and informs them that their mansion burnt down and their parents are dead...nice news eh... Then they are sent to live with their evil relative, Count Olaf. He wants the fortune their parents left behind, and will do anything-- I mean ANYTHING-- to get it. Heheh, there thats better. I guess

Twas a really good movie, I never got around to reading the series though. I think Olaf should be a Dusclops instead of Gengar. Dusclops is less predictable, and is more adept at using Hypnosis to manipulate others (as Olaf does) than Gengar. Just a suggestion -sandragon13

Hm...you know what...that just might work ;D Oh and Count Olaf in the books, is much worse than in the movies. I mean, Jim Carrey was playing him Also, I think I've got an idea for Klaus...something intelligent, but not fully evolved yet...like Kadabra, maybe? Its a little hard to think of him like that though... Sunny would be something that can bite of course...She would make a good Sharpedo, but she's a baby, so no *gets to thinking*

Maybe a Trapinch? XD Actually, even though Jim Carrey pwns, I like the book - Olaf more. He's sinister, and a bit creepy. Maybe Klaus could be an Abra... Nah... Violet could be a Gardevoir.

Klaus as a Kadabra could easily work. Sunny could be...Trapinch would work, or Rattata? Violet...Kirlia has hair that it can tie back, Gardy works too... -sandragon13

The only thing is that Violet is pictured wearing a dress, and Kirlia looks like a ballet dancer.

Gardy would probably work best as Violet, Klaus as Kadabra. That leaves Sunny...My suggestion is Rattata. -sandragon13

Alright then.. Klaus=Kadabra Violet=Gardy Sunny=Rattata Olaf=Dusclops Heshe (the person who you can't tell is a man or woman, I call it heshe)=Snorlax, don't ask why Man with hooks for hands= ?? The powder faced women= ?? Bald man with long nose= ?? Justice Strauss= ?? Mr. Poe (an important part XD)= ??
