Dustamble is a newly discovered species of pokemon found chiefly in desert regions. It is somewhat equine in appearance, looking like a light-tan gazelle to the untrained eye. However, this pokemon stands upon four long, lanky legs that seem too lean to support the pokemon's weight. Despite appearances, Dustamble is able to stand minutes after birth and, using its outsized legs, can keep up with others of its kind within the hour. It is known as the Marathon pokemon for its ability to weather the harshness of drought and survive hunger and thirst for extended periods, even while traveling at the herd's brisk pace. Its high stature allow it to see above grasses and over the crests of ridges, allowing it to spot predators at a distance and run to safety. Cautious by nature, it will not stay long once it senses danger using its keen hearing and eyesight.
Name: Dustrek
Wanderer Pokemon
Height: 20' 9"
Type: Ground/Psychic
Ability: Forewarn/Keen Eye
Evolves from Dustamble at lv. 35
Moveset: Same as Dustamble, everything learned 2 levels later, learns Sandstorm from lv. 1, and learns Future Sight instead of Agility, and Acupressure instead of Barrier.
Dustrek is the evolved form of Dustamble. This pokemon is easily recognizable by its impossibly long legs, which in fact contain the same number of bones as a human. This Pokemon, as a result of living life amid the endless desert, has endured this strange adaptation to become a successful species. It is afforded a sight radius of 180 degrees due to its eye placement, and is also able to look all around thanks to its long neck. The legs, which are mostly sturdy bone sheathed by ligaments and skin, are so tremendously long that this pokemon can spot anything approaching it for several miles around. It is also able to clear many obsticles by merely stepping over them. Because its limbs end in bony points, they are useful when walking over unstable surfaces such as sand or mud. River crossings are also not a problem for this pokemon. It has earned its name as the Wanderer pokemon well; A Dustrek may travel 100,000 miles or more in its lifetime, merely driven to travel to any terrain it can reach. This species is known for its unhurried and graceful strides, and though it is slower than its pre-evolution, it needs to take fewer steps to reach its destination. Dustrek are also able to survive the oppressive heat and droughts of the desert wastes for months thanks in part to their lean bodies and pale coats. Because its legs are too long for its head to reach the ground, Dustrek developed telekinetic abilities to move plants and spheres of water to a more comfortable eating height. A small group of Dustrek, striding quietly across the open plains, are sometimes mistaken as ghosts, especially if spotted at night. This species would much rather avoid combat and is usually able to do so, but when cornered is known to uses psychic and geokinetic techniques and even change the weather to defend itself.
