Tim: Well that sucked. Back on the defense same strategy wait for him to charge then come out of no where with a Quick Attack.

Starly waits for Pinsir to come closer, and it takes the bait, coming forward to use Vicegrip. Stan zooms away, and uses Quick Attack to slam Pinsir in the back of the head with Quick Attack. Pinsir is knocked down, apparantly unconsious. Stan lands near it, inspecting it, and suddenly Pinsir grabs hold of Stan, and throws her into a cactus. Stan feebly stirs, and falls from the cactus to the ground, barely getting up. Pinsir is having a hard time getting up, and it leans against a rock, breathing heavily. The trainer starts yelling at it. "Darn you, you stinkin' bug! Get up, and get that birdie good with a Bind! You'll get the tar beatin' out of ya otherwise, buggie!"

Tim cracks a smile as the perfect plan comes to mind. Tim: Alright Stan wait in front of the cactus. From the sounds of it he's going to charge. When Pinsir gets near you take off with quick attack so he runs into the cactus.

Stan, following orders, struggles in front of a thorn-laden cactus by the side of the path. Pinsir, in a desperate manuver, snaps its horns at the Starly, and the tiny bird pokemon quick attacks upward to safety! The attack, however, severed the trunk of the cactus, and it topples forward with a groan, bringing Pinsir down beneath it! The Stagbeetle is defeated, and Stan circles in ths sky, victorious! The trainer stares at the fallen form of his Pinsir beneath the large desert plant, mouth agape at the concept of losing. After a few moments he recalls the fainted bug-type and steps forward. "Well bro, you beat me fair and square. Let me give you this, maybe you can use it better than I can." With that, he hands you $300 and a curved object wrapped in a cloth. Without another word he heads down the path and out of view. As you open the parcel, you find it to be a sharply curved claw of some kind...hey, it's a Razor Claw! At long last, the path to rt. 3 stands before you! Are you ready to go on? -sandragon13
