The two Diglett lead you to a large white fence, where you find yourself at the end of the sandstorm. You walk along it, and find a gate. A sign by it says, "Route Three", but blocking it is a tough looking trainer, who cracks his knuckles when he sees you. "Hey there, foo. Whaddup? You lookin' for a beatin'?

Tim: Good god you can't be serious. I was going to question it, but after hearing you speak I can see why the Digletts want to get rid of you. When your ready I'll help you see your way out of this route.

The trainer looks confused, and says, "I dunno what you sayin', slick, but I thinks you need a haircut. Go Scytha, Cut his hair, y'hear?" He throws out a pokeball, and out comes a lv. 8 Scyther, which grins, and steps forward.

Tim: *sarcastically* Oh no a Scyther how will I ever be able to beat such a hard opponent.
Thinking to himself it is a pretty high level. Still the type advantage should be more then enough.
Tim: Alright then Dot lets Rock the socks off this over glorified Bug Catcher. *sends out Dot* When your ready make your move.

The Bug Catcher grins, and yells, "A Pidgah? Scytha! Use a Focus Energy! Then use a Quick Attack!!!"
The Scyther nods, and closes its eyes, energy pulsing around it. Its scythes turn a greenish color, and it opens its eyes, speeding at Dot."

Tim: Alright Dot nice and easy now. Use your Sand Attack on him. While the sand is in the Air follow right behind it with your Air Slash.

The sand hits the Scythers eyes, making it blink as it burst forward. When its eyes reopen the Pidgey comes into its view and slams its wing into Scyther.
Scyther: 20/32
Scyther is tossed back and can't hit the bird Pokemon with its attack.

Dot flies up into the air, waiting for Scyther to attack. The trainer yells, "Beat that birdie! Quick Attack!" Scyther spreads its wings, and takes off, hitting Dot hard. Dot flies away quickly, and the Scyther hovers in the air.
Dot: 15/20

The trainer smirks, and orders a Quick Attack. Scyther, who is faster, zooms forward, and crashes into Dot, giving the bird an excellent chance to fire an Air Slash. The attack hits Scyther between the eyes, and it howls in pain....
Scyther: 10/32 Dot: 10/20

Scyther is ordered to use a Quick Attack, which normally hits first. However, due to the closeness between the pokemon, both attacks hit their opponents at the same time, creating an explosion. The smoke clears, and the first to collapse is Scyther, who is blackened, and charred. Dot collapses, but gets back up. LV. UP!!!
Dot: 1/24

Tim: That keeps the adrenaline flowing. Good job Dot return. *calls back Dot* Well that was closer then I would have liked, but I still won that round.
Tim looked across at his opponent nervously. Even though he still had Stan, he couldn't help but feel nervous on weather or not this fight would continue. And if he would still have the upper hand.
