Corphish pops out of the water at once, claws filled with Heart Scales. It stuffs them in your pack, and five angry lv. 8 Luvdisc pop out of the water to get their scales back.
Your Torchic Focuses its Energy, while Ditto copies the chick's genetic code, and turns into a carbon copy of the bird. Torchic runs forward, but the Ditto parries it away with its own scratch. No damage was dealt...

"Well now, five on one doesn't seem like very fair odds now does it?" Jake said, bringing out Nindoran, Zigzagoon and Pineco to join the line with Corphish. "Corphish, hit them all with a stream of Bubblebeam. Pineco, stay on defense and try to keep their Water Gun attacks away from the others with a Rapid Spin. Nindoran, Double Kick. Zigzagoon, you take a look around for some Heart Balls so I can capture one."
Jake turned to Ditto and Torchic, fiddling with the ball in his hand. "Parried, eh? Torchic, use Growl then attack with another scratch."

Corphish fires a stream of bubbles, but all of the Luvdisc dive underwater to dodge. Pineco enters the fray, and... well... Spins around, deflecting Water Guns all over. Your Nidoran leaps forward, and kicks a Luvdisc in its face, damaging it well. Zigzagoon shuffles away, and searches around, not finding anything yet...

"Give em' hell boys! (And girl). Corphish, dive under the water and give chace, try to drive them back above the water. Nindoran and Pineco, if you see one come up strike at it. Zigzagoon, don't give up. You're the best here at finding things." Jake turns his attention to Torchic, who seems to be having a sort of fencing match with the Ditto, each attack being parried as if fighting a mirror image.
"Alright, this is getting us nowhere fast. Torchic, let's try out your Reversal attack."

Dittochic leaps forward and lands a critical hit Scratch, pinning your Torchic to the ground! However, the wily Chick pokemon uses Reversal, glowing red and leaping acrobatically off its back, forcing both feet squarely into the clone and launching it into the wall for huge damage! Dittochic: 15/40 Torchic: 14/28 Meanwhile, two Luvdisc have lept out of the water and Water Gun-ed Zigzagoon into the water! The tinyraccoon is struggling to swim! -sandragon13

"Z, no!" Jake cried, looking around frantically for some way to get his Zigzagoon out of the water. "Corphish, get him out of there! Nindoran and Pineco, you two distract the Lovedisc while he does that, attack with Double Kick and Tackle."
Jake rotated his head around the chamber, his eyes finally landing on Torchic. "Good shot Torchic, here use this." Reaching into his bag, he pulls out the Oran Berry that Torchic had when he began the journey and hurled it at the small Chick, who jumped up and swallowed it in one bite. "Wow, must have been hungry. Quick, try to pin Ditto against the wall with your talons, then use Scratch."

Nidoran and Pineco manage to corner one Luvdisc on land, while the other has a Heart Scale knocked off of it and escapes into the water, fleeing battle and leaving its scale behind. The Dittochic and Torchic dive and weave, evenly matched and trying to strike one another with Scratch, but neither can catch the other. -sandragon13

"Alright, good job guys." Jake drew out Nindoran and Pineco's Poke'balls and recalled them, picking up the Scales from the aftermath of the battle. As he put them into his pack, Jake turned to Torchic and rubbed his chin in deep thought. "Torchic, try your Reversal attack once more."

Torchic and Dittochic each use Reversal, attacking with great power, as red light flashes all around. The attacks collide, and both pokemon go flying, skidding along the ground. Both struggle to stand, and they each look like another good attack would finish them.
