"Oh, Mr. Reed?" asked the receptionist. "He's in the research labs on the third floor. If you run this file up to him as well," as she hands you a manilla folder, "I'll give you this visitor's pass and you can go speak with him. The elevator's that way." -sandragon13

The doors open with a ding, revealing a gleaming metal hallway lined with doors and paneled with speckled grey paint. The far end terminates in a lobby of some sort, lined with windows overlooking the buildings and the street below. As you pass one of the doors, you walk in front of a large plate-glass window, providing a view of an advanced-looking laboratory. At a stainless-steel bench, a bespectacled man is tinkering with a large, heavy device mounted on the wall. Glancing at the nameplate beside the door, you read "Dr. H. Reed, Fossil Research." -sandragon13

"A file?" asks the professor, turning from the metal device. "Well thank you, my lad. You say you are here on behalf of Professor Sycamore? I haven't heard from that chap in quite some time...what is he up to?" -sandragon13

"Well, this is a rare find indeed!" says Mr. Reed excitedly. "This is a Claw Fossil, one of the hardest Pokemon fossils to find in the Desert Land! If you don't mind, I'd like to study this for a bit, using my new fossil-examination machine I had shipped from the Pewter Museum in Kanto. I'll only be a minute... In the meantime, feel free to have a look around the lab, just don't touch anything, these instruments are very sensitive." -sandragon13

You wander around the futuristic lab for what feels like hours, eventually settling on a stool by a bench. In a spaceous glass tube that winds throughout the complex, you see a flash of pink and blue gliding through with effortless grace. Turning your attention to it, you are astonished to see the manmade digital Pokemon, Porygon, moving through the pipeline at a steady clip. Watching the digital Pokemon, you don't hear Dr. Reed approach. "You've met my Porygon, I see," said the scientist with a laugh, "it likes to meet new people. I received one from my colleagues in Kanto's Silph Co. It seems to like this maxofiber-optic system I invented to observe its movement on the network. I plan on using it for further study into new incarnations of this pokemon...but I digress. While I was analyzing your fossil, I accidently bumped one of my other machines, and the fossil was exposed to a blast of radiation! Before my very eyes, the skelatal remains began to regenerate living bone tissue to replace that which was missing, then muscles, blood vessles, and flesh! It has been completely regenerated, into a living, breathing Kabuto!" With that, he brings over a wheeled cart upon which a large clear tank rests. Scrambling along the bottom is a brownish, horseshoe crab-like Pokemon with jointed yellow legs. "With this discovery, I might be able to regenerate other fossilized pokemon from the samples in my collection! However," he looks at you, "I can't care for this Kabuto, give it the exercise and training it needs. Would you be willing to look after it for me?" -sandragon13

"Ah, I recognize this one!" says the scientist, taking the fossilized remains from your hands. "This is a Skull Fossil, common in the Desert Land, and belonging to Cranidos, the Headbutt pokemon. Let me see if I can regenerate it like I did before..." *a few minutes later* "Ta-da, your new Cranidos!" With that, he leads a long-legged blue-and-gray reptillian pokemon out with a leash. The pokemon lets out a bleating call, the lights above reflecting off of the Rock type's steel-hard skull. "Will you be willing to take care of this one too?" -sandragon13

"Indeed I do, young trainer. Here you are," states Dr. Reed, as he hands you a pair of Pokeballs. You recall the two prehistoric pokemon and they are whisked away to your PC. "Thank you again, young man, for your kindness! I hope you take good care of those pokemon!" -sandragon13

You walk into the center, relief in the form of refrigerated air from the midday heat. The center is bustling, trainers passing in and out of the center like clockwork. What would you like to do? -sandragon13
