Absol's Leer hits, lowering Pinsir's defense slightly, then strikes with a well-placed Aerial Ace, Critical Hitting and KOing the stagbeetle pokemon! The trainer awards you $300 for winning, and runs off. The road ahead splits in two, one leading up a rocky hill, the other down into a sandy canyon. -sandragon13

Down into the canyon you go... There are high cliffs on either side of you, and the walls seem to be made of compacted sand, stiffened in the heat of the sun and the pressure from the sand above. You hear a whooshing sound from behind you, and as you turn around, you see a huge cloud of dust rushing down the path at high speed! Whatever it is, it's heading right for you! - sandragon13

You make it down the slope and duck, just as the swirling mass flies over your head! It hits the ground below you and as the sand cloud fades, you see that it's a Lairon, lv. 9! It spots you on the rise above it and roars at you! -sandragon13

Dragonbreath does next to nothing to the Steel-type...however, it turns and runs back down the pathway from which it came, vanishing in the sandstorm's swirling winds. You look around at the quiet valley where you now stand...the only sound is the wind whipping through the sandy canyon. Suddenly, you hear, from somewhere nearby, "Argh! Where is it!?" Want to go see what 's going on? -sandragon13
