((Question: is it a Male or Female Cleffa? No, it's not anything dirty, just a thought... :3))

"It seems you know you're Poke'mon's Abilities as well as I do," Jake said, recalling Torchic. "Trying to get my Poke'mon attracted to yours, smart move. It's a shame that it's one of the few things I managed to study on, and I studied it well. I think I'll let my Nindoran finish this fight. Go, Double Kick right off the bat!"
Nindoran glared at the Cleffa as she charged, a fire burning in her eyes. Clearly it had a distaste for most other Female Poke'mon, sensing some sort of Rivalry between them, as if it would swoop down and take her mate away.
(By the way, I noticed that it says Nindoran it level 3 on my Trainer Card thingie. Not to sound like a brat or nothing, but I thought it leveled up to 4 after killing the Rattata, no? Or is there something I missed there? oO; )

((My bad, I think I said I updated and didn't.))
Nidoran kicks the Cleffa right in the face for a KO. The trainer falls to his knees. "Alright then, you bested me. I admit defeat." The trainer forked over 300$.
Nidoran levels up! [Updated.]

((It's cool, you're a busy guy and don't always remember to update stuff. And judging by your Shaman, you're a busy player as well, so I can relate )) Jake walked up to the trainer, holding out a hand to help him up. "Good battle, eh?" he said with a smile. "First one ever to be honest, a bit worried I wasn't cut out for this whole 'trainer' deal, but I guess I was wrong." The trainer took his hand, accepting the help up. "Perhaps our paths will cross again, and we could have a rematch?" The trainer looked at Jake, giving a nod. "Perhaps..." the trainer said in almost a whisper. Jake walked away, money in his pocket and confidence in his stride. His eyes began to sting from the sand, but he didn't care. His eyes began to scan around for some sort of structure or a Poke'mon or something to identify where he was.

It looks like...a Cacnea, lv. 5! It's looking at you cautiously from a nearby rock. -sandragon13

((Gahhh! Stupid internet went down after I tried to post something! Now I'm pissed!))
"Grass type Poke'mon, what bad timing. Pity Charmander and Torchic need a rest, but this just makes things more interesting." He said, grabbing Pineco's Poke'ball. "Well, you're one of the few Poke'mon I have yet to give a test run to, so let's go, Tackle attack!" Jake said, unleashing the 'menacing' fury of the Bag worm Poke'mon.

Pineco bursts forth and speeds into a Tackle nailing Cacnea for minor damage.
Cacnea: 17/20

Jake covered his eyes, Pineco and Cacnea vanish into the storm, only outlines remain of what once was. His eyes stung, and the only way he could keep them open was by squinting. Tears began to form, and frustration taking hold.
"Got to act fast, I don't know how long Pineco can last in this storm. I've got to...wait! That's it! Pineco use Protect, wait for him to come to you then use Tackle!"

Pineco begins to glow, forming a protective coccoon around itself and guarding against the next attack! As you anticipated, the Cacnea tries to Tackle Pineco, but is blocked by Protect! At that moment, Pineco launches its own Tackle and sends Cacnea spinning! It was a critical hit, caused by the extreme close range of the attack. Cacnea: 10/20 -sandragon13

"Atta' boy Pineco! Now while he's still spinning, hit him with a Rapid Spin!"

Before the foe Cacnea could even hit the ground it is tossed back into the air by a Rapid Spin for the KO.
[Level up!]
You stare around at the many large rocks that dot the sandy area. Sand is tossed up into the air and you can see the wind patterns thrashing away at the stones, slowly carving them away.
A rather large stone has been smoothed down completely with small circular pockets on the sides. You notice that necks line these holes, probably made by some sort of bird pokemon. At the foot of the stone you notice another Cacnea (level 6) staring up at said nests, as if waiting for something.

Jake looked at the Cacnea questioningly, trying to be as silent as possible. He looked up at the holes, waiting to get a view of what Cacnea was looking up at.

Up above where the Cacnea's looking, you hear four different whistling calls all sound at intervals. The Cacnea, still oblivious of your presence, jumps up and fires a blast of Poison Sting into the holes, perhaps to drive whatever dwells within out. In response to the attack, a Pidgey, a Tailow, a Spearow, and a Starly, each lv. 5, poke their heads out of the nesting holes and start chirping angrily at the Cacnea. It might be possible to bag one of those flying types, but perhaps you should rid them of the Cacnea first? -sandragon13 -sandragon13

'Alright, let's go for the element of surprise.' Jake thought to himself, letting out Torchic. "Alright Torchic, sneak up behind Cacnea and hit him on the back of the head with a Scratch attack." he whispered to him. Torchic gave him a nod, jumping up and going in for First Strike."
