Eevee finally goes down, lv. up for Cranidos! Trainer Colin withdraws his fainted pokemon with a sigh. "You know what you're doing. I'll call Gym Leader Joy and see if she can spare a moment to fight you." With that the boy disappears into another room, leaving you alone in the large, enclosed battle hall. While you're waiting for a response, a pair of Baltoy emerge from a doorway, hovering lightly above the ground. The two Clay Doll pokemon begin to glow a vague yellow, then trace the perimeter of the battlefield in opposite directions. As they pass, to your amazement, the cracked and ruined battleground resettles back into a pristine, smooth surface, as if untouched by the Earthquakes of the previous battle. Suddenly you realize that they must be using their Earth Power to resurface the field, making it again suitible for battle. With one more pass the two Ground/Psychic hybrids return to the doorway from which they came, and Jr. Trainer Colin re-emerges. "Miss Joy is on her way up, she'll be ready to battle you shortly." A few moments later, a white-clad figure strided to the far end of the battlefield. You realize with a start that the gym leader you must face is none other than Nurse Joy, the same one you had spoken to earlier! Now wearing a white-and-pink short sleeve shirt and a rosy skirt, Joy's blue eyes flash, indicating a highly competative and brave nature. "Colin tells me that you are here for a Gym Challenge. Here at the Devon City Gym, we believe in the power that comes from within. We battle the same way. Are you ready for battle?" -sandragon13

Phampy's Defense Curl offsets Leer's defense drop, and as Absol charges with Quick Attack, Phampy starts using Rollout, speeding toward Absol at high speed! -sandragon13

Absol's Quick Attack lets it escape Rollout with ease! Absol then fires a leer over its shoulder at Phampy, who suffers a Defense drop. -sandragon13

Phampy launches into a Rollout and in its curled up form doesn't see the Leer. Absol dashes in with AA, the two collide dealing damage to one another.
Absol: 53/60 Phampy: 45/56

Absol whips up a gust of wind, blowing Phampy off course and into a rock, causing it to unfold! As it glances back at Absol, it suffers a Defense drop from Leer. -sandragon13

Phampy takes a serious hit from Absol's attack, nearly getting KO'd! It shakes itself off and recoils with Defense Curl, then charges with Rollout again! Phampy: 18/56 -sandragon13
