Tackle strikes, doing slightly more damage than usual due to the defense drop. Smoochum uses Doubleslap, hitting twice for 4 damage each. Squirtle Aqua Rings in response, healing 3 hit points back, but suddenly, Smoochum uses Ice Beam and Freezes the Aqua Ring, stopping its healing ability! Squirtle: 31/36 86 pts Smoochum: 50/60 83 pts -sandragon13

Tail Whip lowers Smoochum's defense a notch, but it counters Ice Beam with its own. Your opponant's pokemon is weaker against physical attacks now...wink wink. -sandragon13

I know.
Squirtle! Use Tail Whip! If it uses Ice Beam, counter it with one of your own!

Squirtle Tail Whips again, and Smoochum gets mad, it's charging towards you with a Sweet Kiss attack! If it hits, you're confused! - sandragon13

Use Ice Beam! Then when it's distracted, run into it! At the last second, jump and bounce off of its head, then Water Gun it!

Squirtle's ice beam causes the Smoochum to pull back on its own attack, barely dodging the icy blast. Meanwhile, Squirtle charges forward and bounces off of Smoochum's head, flipping in the air, and nailing it in the face with an upside-down, mid-air Water Gun! Smoochum tumbles backward, defeated! Squirtle wins, and you move on to the second round! Are you ready? -sandragon13

Beedrill manages to use Agility and dodge the attacks, but can't land an attack of its own in the process. -sandragon13

Thunder Wave strikes and Paralyzes the poison bee pokemon, sharply cutting its speed! As Pikachu approaches to use Charge Beam, Beedrill lunges forward and uses Poison Sting, poisoning Pikachu! Charge Beam does a large amount of damage to Beedrill and the combination with Thunder Wave impresses the judges! Beedrill: 35/60 PRZ 58 PTS Pikachu: 40/56 PSN 71 PTS -sandragon13
