You leap as high and as far as you can from the rushing piece of stone. Through the thick dust below you, the world seems to move in slow motion as you notice the deep rift in the earth beneath you. The rock you were riding only moments earlier tumbles into the chasm, and you shut your eyes in fear that you will be next. Suddenly, a grayish blur dives above you and a firm grip catches the back of your clothes, stopping your descent! You gasp and look above you, amazed to see an Aerodactyl, a prehistoric pokemon, carrying you in its claws to a safe landing!
Moments later the fossil pokemon alights on a rocky plateau next to the deep chasm, setting you down gently. As the dust settles around you and your heart's racing beat slows, you notice another presence standing before you. Squinting through the sandy dust, you see that it's a man, dressed in rugged khaki and sporting a scruffy beard, bending down and offering his hand. What will you do? -sandragon13

"Indeed it is," says the man as he helps to hoist you to your feet. "My name's Professor Sycamore, by the way." -sandragon13

"Indeed you can," he says with relief as he reaches into his pack. "I found this strange fossil out here a while back. Could you bring it to Devon City for me? There is a man at the Devon Research Corporation building by the name of Mr. Reed. I'm certain that if anybody can identify this fossil, it would be him." Will you take the fossil? -sandragon13

"Thank you for doing this for me, I greatly appreciate it," says the professor, "However, I think Aeroy and I will be spending some more time out here researching the landscape. If you follow this ridge to the north, it will lead you to Devon City." -sandragon13
