Onix tunnels underground to dodge the attacks that were fired at it, but the Helping Hands work. Pikachu needs some help dragging the man to safety. Deep below your feet, you can feel the giant Onix tunneling... The cave rumbles, and the tunnel behind where the Onix was resting is blocked by a pile of rocks! There's only one way out, the way you came... -sandragon13

The three furry pokemon help to drag the old man to safety as you lead your other pokemon back out of the cave. So far, so good, your plan is working...Suddenly Onix explodes from the sealed-off end of the tunnel, and starts rumbling toward you! You can see the light from the cave entrance just ahead... -sandragon13

*looks back and forth*
"Well, it's now or never, I don't think I'll make it, though." I said.
"Bring me the professor! Then everyone, let's get ready to battle it! Ready?" I said, and everyone nodded. The eevees and Flareon brought me the professor.
"Ok, Squirtle! Use Ice Beam! If you get hit, use Aqua Ring! Treecko, Use Mega Drain and Leer! Pikachu, use Tail Whip and Growl! Both Eevees! Use Helping Hand! And Eevee, Use Yawn and Eve use Sand Attack! Flareon, use Helping hand and Flame Wheel!" I said.

Your pokemon bravely stand and fire their respective attacks at the oncoming rock snake. The various attacks, boosted from the Helping Hands, manage to stun the Onix long enough for you all to escape into the daylight! Deep in the cave's darkness, you can see the Onix roar at you and tunnel back underground, sealing the cave's entrance behind it. You lay down the white-coated figure and lean him against a rock. Suddenly you realize: This is Professor Sycamore, the pokemon researcher for whom this valley is named! The man's eyes slowly flicker open, blinking in the sunlight. He turns to you and says, "Thank you, young man, for saving me. I was in that tunnel, looking for pokemon fossils, when I got knocked out by rocks falling from the ceiling. As a show of gratitude, I'd like to offer you the choice of one of the fossils I unearthed here.
The professor opens his backpack and withdraws four slabs of stone, each marked with a different imprinted shape. "Here we have a Dome fossil, a Root Fossil, a Claw fossil, and a Helix fossil. You can take one, to comemorate your heroics today." -sandragon13

I'll take a claw fossil, thank you.
Now, do you need any more help or do you want to keep searching here?

"You're welcome for the fossil, young man. Are you in search of pokemon? I could tell you where to find some rare ones..." -sandragon13

He points off into the distance, to a point where two large ridges of stone come together. "Back there," he says, fading into memory, "there is a river. Pokemon of all descriptions come to the water's edge to drink. I found that river, hidden in a canyon there. Feel free to explore the area there, see what you can find." -sandragon13

"Thanks!" I said, and I run off to the canyon..

Walking up, you crouch behind a pile of rocks. Peeking over, you can see that the canyon is carpeted with grass, a suprising sight in the desert. A gentle stream flows through the center, and various pokemon are walking about, drinking from the water, and resting. From where you stand, you can see a Slowpoke laying on a rock, fishing. A Farfetch'd floats on the water, leek tucked in its folded wing. A Stantler drinks from the water, as does an Aipom. Through the bushes ahead, a large Tropius lumbers toward the stream for a drink. You can see that if you attack any one of these pokemon, it's likely that the others will flee before you can get to them. So choose wisely... -sandragon13

I have a good idea, but first I need to know: Can I get 2 by sending out 2 pokemon?
If so, then go Pikachu and Flareon! Flareon, run toward Tropius and Pikachu run toward Farfetch'd! Block them and don't let them escape!
If not, then go! Flareon! Hit Tropius with Tackle!

(One and only one, sorry...) Flareon charges toward Tropius, hitting the sauropod Pokemon in the hip with a strong Tackle. The beast, which hadn't seen you coming, roared and rears onto its back legs, trying for a Stomp attack! The other pokemon, hearing the roar, fly off and run into the trees, except for Slowpoke, who doesn't seem to react at all. -sandragon13
